To cope with the rising trend of retirement community, and long-term care facilities, sharpening our current technology and infrastructure has now become mainstream. Keio has been awarded a contract from The Sisters of The Immaculate Heart of Mary Pak Tin Elderly Home for the design, supply and installation of the air conditioning and ventilation system. With the goal of a better and more sustainable future, we have also implemented a comprehensive Building Management System (BMS) on the facilities for real-time monitoring, management and equipment status update.
The BMS of JENEsys platform by LynxSpring USA is an open, unified, operational and informational system, enabling you to go further to manage and operate your facility smarter, securely and more efficiently through the utilization of online BMS software, greatly improving the performance of building equipment.
Maintaining comfort conditions throughout the facility is crucial for the elderly. We have divided the facility into 17 zones in order to achieve the desirable level of temperature, humidity and air circulation in different areas, including shared areas, dining room, bathrooms, prayer room and living spaces.
To further enhance the comfort level across the facility, direct expansion type air handling units have been specially designed for pre-treatment of fresh air; Flatcool Systems are designed as the cooling media throughout the facility, which can maintain relatively higher temperature, and minimize cold draft from the conventional cooling by chilled air efficiently.
